When using a tape measure to measure the 6' span between the projector and the base of the bust, you may find yourself spending more time wrestling with the tape measure than actually doing any measuring.
A handy tip is to use a scrap piece of 1x2 (or similar) cut to a length of 6' instead. This way, the 6' span is quickly and easily measured by placing one end of the 1x2 up to the face of the projector and the other end up to the base of the bust, without having to fumble with keeping the tape measure rigid enough to accurately measure.
Another handy measuring stick is the extension rod from a duster found in any grocery or hardware store. Extend it to 6' in length and mark it.
Using a rigid measuring stick instead of a tape measure makes this step in the installation go much quicker, especially when installing the projector by yourself.
